Занимается исследованиями в области эпидемиологии и социального поведения, опираясь на математические и статистические методы. Участвовал в расследовании причин эпидемий птичьего гриппа и лихорадки Эбола. Автор книги «Идеальная ставка» – захватывающего исследования принципов и механизмов азартных игр. Его материалы постоянно публикуются такими изданиями, как Nautilus, BBC Focus, Scientific American, Wired, New Scientist, Financial Times, The Observer. Лауреат премии благотворительного фонда Wellcome Trust за научно-просветительскую деятельность. Живет в Лондоне.
